It was not a sudden emergence but a slow, laborious
and simple yet impressive pedalling its way to success. After partition
between India and Pakistan in 1947, it took a decade for Late S. Sardara
Singh along with his son
Late S.Tara Singh ( Chairman of the VISHIVKARMA
GROUP) to start manufacturing bicycle chain adjuster
under the brand name of DASS in 1957. Gradually, items like
bicycle seat bolt, draw bolt and other Fastener item were added in the
line of Manufacturing on hand operated machines. Soon the brand name
DASS was
established. Besides domestic supply. the Group is O.E. supplier to many
well known Bicycle Manufacturers and Exporters.
The contribution of
S. Charanjit Singh (Techno-Commercial, a born entrepreneur and elder son
of Late S. Tara Singh) has supplemented
the much needed support to take the Group to today's position. His
contributions to develop Caliper Brakes, Canti Levers, Brake Levers, Quick
Release, Power Brake (Canti Lever Brake V-type) and all types of brake
systems on automated machine have been of tremendous value. He developed
these items keeping in view the safety of the common man on Bicycle. It
was none other than Vishivkarma Group who introduced the above items for
the first time in India and thus became the pioneer in manufacturing these
items. Undeniable by the market leaders in the trade the Group has made
incredible advances through all these years. The wide range of products

include Cotter Pins, Pedals, Stabilizer( Side Support), Bells, Wire &
Cables for Brake ( outer and inner casings) etc. ensure that every need of

manufacturing. This company is under the able control and guidance S.
Baljit Singh & S. Inderjit Singh (younger brothers of S. Charanjit Singh)
